Back in December of 2009 I posted an article titled “Bonnier Mag+ Prototype - The Magazine of the Near Future.” This near future is now a reality, Bonnier just informed me of the release of their first digital magazine. They have taken the first step towards their Mag+ vision by building a Popular Science digital magazine for the iPad.
Popular Science+ is available for download today in the iTunes store for the lucky iPad owners. Here is a first preview video of the magazine. (more…)

The Bonnier Mag+ Prototype is a digital magazine concept that aims to capture the essence of magazine reading, which people have been enjoying for decades.

All modeling, animation, and rendering in this amazing showreel was done by Pantural. The tools he used were 3DS Max 2008, Mudbox, After Effects, Photoshop, Sound Forge, and Vegas. The cars and helicopter look very real, excellent work. (more…)
